What we want to achieve in adult education

wienXtra wants to ensure that children and young people deal with well-qualified, open-minded adults and provides the proper educational programme for this purpose. wienXtra works for the City of Vienna and cooperates closely with the Youth Section of Municipal Department 13. 

What we do

wienXtra offers exciting training and further training programmes for everyone working with children and young people. If you are looking for new ideas, creative input or socio-political discussions, you will appreciate wienXtra’s educational programme.

Who is involved?

wienXtra has assembled a team of experts from the fields of leisure education, media education and educational play. At seminars, training courses, information events, workshops or conferences they share their theoretical knowledge and practical know-how and discuss topical issues with the participants.  

Who for?

wienXtra’s educational activities are aimed at all adults living and working with children and young people, from children’s and youth workers, parents, educators and students to staff members of social profit enterprises. Our educational programme holds something for everyone. 

What is important to us?

wienXtra makes sure that leisure activities are affordable for everyone. For this reason, our educational activities are available at little or no cost. Many courses have a special refund policy, whereby people who work voluntarily are refunded the costs. 

What else do we do?

Our “school events” programme line is targeted at pupils and teachers, providing them with an incredible range of musical and creative activities. 

And wienXtra’s equipment hire service ensures that Vienna’s non-profit organisations have access to the appropriate equipment for any event.
